As if this writing, we have officially sold out of space in the park. All of the cabins and rooms at the lodge are rented.
There are still a few options left, however:
1. We have campsites available for any who might have a camper, RV or tent.
2. We have a block of rooms available in Ellensboro, a short 25 minutes from the park.
If you’re interested in either of these options, please contact the committee using the email link below. We will be happy to provide with options, pricing and all the information we can.
Food at The Summit
This years event is PW & BWYN which means:
Plan Well & Bring What You Need
We strongly suggest each club and individuals put thought into meal planning.
Remember, THERE ARE NO GROCERY STORES IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE PARK, so plan accordingly for the entire time you will spend at the park.
*Please note that North Bend Lodge has a restaurant with a decent menu. We have developed a ride schedule that accommodates its hours. A quick look here will give you a sense as to what they offer.
North Bend Cabins
North Bend’s nine deluxe vacation cabins are located atop a secluded ridge in a white pine forest. Constructed of solid cedar, the cabins offer fireplaces, central heat and air, telephone, and two, three, and four bedrooms.
The cabins are completely equipped for housekeeping with cooking utensils, dishes, linens, blankets, kitchens with modern appliances, and baths with built in shower/tub units. Note* – the water faucets tap into a natural spring. So letting it run for a while yields some of the best, cold fresh clean drinking water around. Drink up!
Guests need only to supply food and personal items. The cabins must be rented for a minimum of one week during the summer season, with rental period being Monday to Monday.
In order to make registration easy, we have asked club presidents to arrange to filling the cabins. Most have talked about his as a first come, first served basis. Check with your club president about your individual situation.
North Bend Lodge
The lodge too is a cool place as well.
The North Bend Lodge sits atop a breeze blessed ridge that peers over the woodland river valley below. Decorated with solid oak furnishings, the lodge features 29 guest rooms featuring two double beds, a queen bed and double bed, or a king bed, bath, air conditioning, telephone, mini-fridges, and color television. The rooms are spacious, clean and attended to nightly by a cleaning service.
Visitors who dine in the glass-enclosed restaurant will delight to a sumptuous menu while enjoying the view of surrounding pristine rolling hills and wildlife. The lodge features a relaxing sitting room with a large stone fireplace, meeting and banquet rooms, and an accessible guest elevator. A gift shop located off the lobby is a great location to pick up souvenirs.
